This division is responsible for many programs, which support the residents.  One of the most popular is the annual Open House event.  Held each year during Fire Prevention week, the Department welcomes individuals and families into the station for a first hand glimpse at the facilities and equipment.  This year, Open House will be Sunday, October 8th, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Station One, 1204 S. Park Avenue.

In 1991, the Department developed a school program to educate the over 3,500 students in the community about fire safety.  Firefighters also conduct CPR and First Aid classes, host senior safety seminars, home safety inspections and many other customer services designed to make the Village of Streamwood a safe community.
