An exciting new community open space is coming to Streamwood! The Village has taken over the care and maintenance of Kollar Pond, and has some exciting plans for the 8-acre space we’d like to share with the community.

Kollar Pond is adjacent to the Village Hall and Police Station. Our Comprehensive Plan envisioned making this space part of our overall municipal campus. Working with consultants, the space has been re-imagined as a unique and timeless destination; a vibrant new gathering space and gateway to Streamwood that the whole family can enjoy.

The Village of Streamwood is excited to share these design concepts with the community at a Community Open House on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Village Hall. There will be a formal presentation from 6:00-6:30 pm, followed by an informal open house until 8:00 pm. Project team members will be present to discuss design concepts, answer questions, and hear your input.
