NIPAS is a multi-jurisdictional team consisting of over 100 agencies from northern Illinois. NIPAS consists of Emergency Services and Mobile Field Force Teams. Emergency Services is a specially trained tactical team that can be deployed in high-risk incidents. The Mobile Field Force Team provides specially trained officers in the event of a civil disturbance or large events that require special protective situations.

The Streamwood Police Department has 2 officers on the Emergency Services Team and 4 officers on the Mobile Field Force Team.
